*11.5” round Seder plate, intended for Passover festivities, but doesn’t have text on it, so it could teeeeeechnically be used for all kinds of parties!

*Slightly uneven on one side (really only visible at eye level), but sits nice and flat and stable on a table.

*Experimented with mixing a celadon+clear glaze coat, which did not work out exactly as I had hoped. Effect is a bit uneven in the spread of color, but it is entirely glazed and food safe. The underside of the plate is not glazed (but it has a pleasant texture and is very smooth). 

* Pattern is printed directly onto a wet clay slab via two layers of stencils using a combination of underglazes and pigments mixed with clay slip, and then molded around a custom-made form. Imperfections and idiosyncrasies are left on view in this piece. You’ll see distressed areas of color, marks, smudges and smears.
